Sunday singing-- I Know That My Redeemer Lives

Image
3/7/21 In this video you’re going to hear the hymn “I Know that My Redeemer Lives.” What a great testimony! Here are the lyrics for verse 1: I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
He lives, my ever-living Head.
He lives to bless me with his love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.

Lady be good-- my rendition of Ella's classic

Image
In this video you’re going to hear a song made famous by the great Ella Fitzgerald, the "first lady of song." I just love Ella! I think I first heard a recording of her singing when I was in college. I was entranced. Enjoy my little rendition of "Lady Be Good." Here are the lyrics: Oh, sweet and lovely lady, be good Oh, lady, be good to me I am so awf'ly misunderstood So lady, be good to me Oh, please have some pity I'm all alone in this big city I tell you I'm just a lonesome babe in the wood So lady be good to me Oh, please have some pity I'm all alone in this big city I tell you I'm just a lonesome babe in the wood So lady be good to me Please subscribe if you enjoyed! The First Lady of Song

I remember when I first started listening to Ella Fitzgerald recordings-- I was in college, and I was immediately entranced by Ella's impeccable intonation, her superhuman scat-singing, and her radical range. If you haven't listened to Ella in a while I highly recommend checking out ANYTHING she recorded. Here's her official website: http://www.ellafitzgerald.com/ #Ellafitzgerald #firstladyofsong
