Gearing Up

Life lately has felt a little like standing at the top of a roller coaster—lots of anticipation, energy, and preparation before the big plunge. I’ve had a handful of meaningful projects and events all coming up at once, and it’s been exciting (and a little stretching!) to get ready for them.

One thing I’m most looking forward to is leading the stake choir for our upcoming stake conference. There’s something so powerful about voices joining together in praise, and I’m eager to help bring that spirit into our meeting. I’ve been thinking about how to create an uplifting, unifying experience for both the singers and the congregation.

On the professional side, I’ve been gearing up for parent-teacher conferences. That means lots of preparation—reviewing progress, organizing thoughts, and making sure I can communicate clearly with families about their children’s growth. At the same time, I’ve been soaking up good ideas from anywhere I can find them about how to support communication in both elementary-aged children and young adults. I love how even small strategies can make a big difference when it comes to helping kids find their voices.

Of course, life isn’t all work! I enjoyed a church picnic recently—time with friends, good food, and that relaxed feeling of community. I also made it to a singles dance, which was fun in its own way and gave me a chance to connect with people. And this week I’ve also been helping to get things ready for an upcoming singles fireside. I'm glad I could be useful.
